Distrust That Particular Flavor - William Gibson A thread runs through of the relashionship between the virtual and the real, snapshots from the past two decades of the evolving ideas, predictions and terminology of what today is 'online' and the way we, supposedly physical offline beings, interact with it. Interesting framework, describing the internet as a collective cyborgization, a prosthetic memory. Eventually gets a bit repetitive though. Snapshots of places are enjoyable, though probably hopelessly dated by now. Passing mention of Michael Stipe and a man who knew a man who knew Kafka.
